Mental Health First Aid Training

Become a Certified Adult Mental Health First Aider on this

2-Day MHFA (England) Training Course

Why become a Mental Health First Aider?

Because YOU could be the difference to someone when they really need it.

Mental ill health does not discriminate and can affect anyone at any time – your work colleagues, family, or friends.

There is still a stigma surrounding mental ill health that with time, education, understanding and resources, will improve.

Because of this, there will be many people suffering in silence.

Maybe you already know someone who isn’t coping particularly well at work or in your personal life?

You could be the one who makes all the difference by extending a helping hand before it turns into a crisis for them!

The MHFA Training Course equips you with the necessary skill to spot early signs of mental health problems and signpost the individual to help that is easier and faster to access than a waiting list!

    Meet your Trainer

    Hello!  I’m Andrea

As a practicing Health and Safety professional, I’ve been delivering various health and safety training courses, inductions, and workshops over the years, and it’s such a privilege to be able to offer this one.

I became a Mental Health First Aider (and licensed MHFA Trainer) in March 2019.  Since qualifying, I’ve had to use the MHFA training more than half a dozen times, and that’s more than I’ve needed to use my physical first aid training which I’ve held for over 20 years!

Even though the course materials don’t change, no two MHFA courses are the same, and it’s our delegates that make the difference – especially when they openly share their real-life experiences.  Don’t worry though, you don’t have to share anything, or can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable doing.  There’s really no pressure.

In a nutshell, my life’s work has been about keeping people safe and healthy at work, and businesses legally compliant.

I’ve been a single parent for the most part of the last 21 years, which has been challenging at times – legally, financially, and emotionally.  It’s also been hugely rewarding watching kiddo develop and leave to start his own life’s journey.

Since 2013 I’ve been discovering in real terms how food affects our overall health – mind, body, and soul – and the affects are astounding!  I had no idea just how badly the food I was eating was damaging my health – and I was following the Government’s recommendations!

So, in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic with mental health issues and Type 2 Diabetes on my professional radar for workers, I co-founded a new business with Alex, called Nature’s Way Lifestyle Ltd (NWL).

We now guide and support people towards a happier, healthier version of themselves, and that’s pretty awesome!  Take a look, we might be able to help you on your journey towards a better lifestyle for you and your family too.  We even get to reduce the impact we’re having on the planet too!  How good is that?!  (Check us out on Facebook and Instagram @natureswaylifestyle.)

It’s a real passion project of ours.

I managed to get rid of my eczema, AND reduce the symptoms and severity of my anxiety and depression.  There were other benefits too like having more energy, getting rid of joint aches and pains, mental clarity and much more besides!

What can we help you with?

You’re welcome to find out more here.
